Merit & Karma

For the past few weeks, searching for the topic related to Karma and Merit had been a great deal of interest for me. Was it because of the recent activities in my life had make me wonder about the bad karma which did by others or was it purely i wanted to know what karma can do? However in term of good karma and merit, it has once again proven itself to be very true from time to time in my life.

There used to be a saying that says "do good deed get good rewards" . It was a saying that the modern people rarely belive anymore but nevertheless i found that it is still a truth. Just that don't expect the reward coming your way because you will never know when and how it will come.

Merit is an action done which is beneficial for others where as karma may be divided into good karma and bad karma. Karma itself is similar to the consequences effect of an action whether it is a good or bad one.

According to the teaching, Merits which is done , its reward will automotically spawn and regenerate. It is probably similar to a farmer throwing some seeds which are to be grow in its own time.

As for bad karma, it is the same as well. When a person do bad thing, his action is being recorded and once the fruit of karma is ripen, he will have to bear the consequences.

For me, it was very true as i have been personally experience the effect of good merit and bad karma. Therefore, for those who know about this , i do always encourage you to do more charity. You may not see the reason of doing charity but as times goes by, you will start to notice the different.
