What is Maturity?

At one point of a time , you may hear someone comment on another person whether the person is mature or not. A colleague once said to me that my maturity wasn’t even at the teenage level despite I am over 20+ . And I ask her “how do you know a person is mature?”

The answer she gave is “maturity is related to loving someone be it human, parents or animals.” So I did a bit reading on the internet and ask another friend. The friend admit that maturity do indeed involve with loving someone as they have to learn how to compromise each other at certain time.

Others type of maturity answers included able to being yourself without following the rest just because of peer pressure. Some even say that mature mean that you are responsible. And others also say that when a person mature , he won’t fight for little thing (selfishness).

Many thinks that I am not mature at all. In fact I don’t really care so much whether I am mature or not. But I do know that when the condition and time has come, I’ll eventually start to mature. I do know that when a person reach mature, they’ll simply know and understand it.
