Dzi Beads

My first encounter about Dzi beads started on the day I told a friend how I make a trip to china, bought a crystal that I like very much at first glance and within 6 months after that, I got one of my wish come true. It was an item I wished to buy for more than 4 years ago yet whenever something always blocks me when I try that. Six months after I bought this crystal, I was being given the opportunity to get it. There is a saying that if you had a look at the crystal at first time and you like it at first look, the crystal is say to be same soul with you (I think they mean it is the most compatible with your value) and that crystal will be able to perform at its optimum power. On the other hand, if you feeling extremely uncomfortable, it is said that it is not the right time for you to use the crystal since the crystal maybe at different level from your.

Then, my friend told me about the Dzi bead, one day she went to crystal shop, she saw a bracelet dzi and like it at the first glance. She bought it and within 6 months, she got an item she been dreaming of wanting that item from a lucky draw event. And her Dzi bracelet bead has a single eye dzi. And so I decide to introduce dzi bead so that whoever feel that they are having some trouble with their life, feeling some unusual bad luck or curses can consider getting dzi to wear. Although I would actually advise the person to be more on doing charity, good deeds as it bring merits to the person life, to his future, and as well as it might help those who are dear to you at the time they need it most.

Dzi whole bead is say to be look like an eye itself. However when classification as how many eyes in a bead, it is generally refer to the number of circles you see in a bead. If there are only one circle in the bead, that is “One-eye dzi bead”

However, there seem to have a certain requirement when you are going to get a dzi. It is said that when one buy a dzi bead, it is best not to buy or get it from not a good way of obtaining it. I suspect it may be due to the reason that if it is obtain from not a good way, it may become unclean The more contrast color between the dzi, the better it is.


However there are some contradict statement I found about dzi bead between old vs new bead in the Internet. While one web state that the older the bead is better as it have stronger power accumulate over time. The other web claim that the new dzi bead is better since the older one power may has slowly to decrease and more importantly, it may be unclean. However, some crystal shop provides services to clean the crystal/bead.




How do you know it is genuine?

There is little suggestion about this:
- When you first wear it, you will start to few thirsty after a while. It means your blood circulation has increase. After few days, you will get adapted to it.

Legends of Dzi:

There is a legend that say from Persian King Treasure legend. It is said that during the year 700, during the empress wu in China ruling, the demigod king Gisa bring Tibetan soldiers to a big of military victory. When the king visits the Persian palace, he discover many rare treasures and the most precious were dzi beads which is described as “ which danced in the palace”. They brought back the dzi beads to Tibet to reward the soldiers.

Tibetan also believe that the dzi were once insect live in a nest call Dzi Chang in Tibet. When insects are unearthed, they will move a while before petrified and become stone. Some believe it happen by the touch of human hand, or by people with good karma or by woman shirts.

Another legend says that, when Tibetans were facing very hard life and overwhelm by severe epidemics, Vajrarahi Buddha came by to rescue by releasing magical dzi beads from the sky.


As a Conclusion, some may think that it may be a mere coincidental while other believes that it is helping them in their lives. But I suppose it wasn’t a bad idea if you use it as part of your accessory wear. If the dzi bead suddenly broken, it mean that the bead may have just protected you from one big harm. Therefore, I do advise you to get a new one and also be careful of buying a fake one.
